We were also learning about the human body and in particular the function of the heart. We created a huge circulatory system on the playground to help us understand the journey of blood around our body. We also watched as our teachers dissected a real animal's heart and lungs to help us understand the function of each part.
Mrs York challenged us to plan and carry out a science investigation using gingerbread men. We read the story and then created an investigation to find out how different liquids effect the gingerbread. We wrote hypotheses based on our scientific understanding and worked hard to ensure that our investigation was a fair test by only changing one variable.
