The day of the raft building! We have had an awesome day building rafts and setting sail! We have also been canoeing, abseiling and mastering the high ropes course! This evening we had a lovely chicken korma curry and a scrummy apple crumble, followed by hot chocolate and biscuits before bed!
Apologies for the delay in updating you all - we were so busy when we arrived and then got stuck into our afternoon activities.
The children have settled in well, enjoying various activities including: kayaking, canoeing, problem solving and climbing. We wandered down to the beach this evening to skim stones and build towers. Everyone is now tucked up in bed whilst the adults make 62 sandwiches for tomorrow!
Thank you so much to the huge number of parents who were able to attend and I hope you found the presentation from Kurt, the centre manager helpful and informative. The minutes of the meeting and a copy of his presentation are attached.
Please pop in and see us if you have any questions.

Year 5 have had a great afternoon creating their very own Roman Mosaics. Thank you very much to Mrs Hunt for coming in to show us how to do it and for supplying some of the resources.
We have really enjoyed sharing our myths today. We started off by sharing them throughout Year 5 but then word quickly spread and Year 3 also requested to hear them. Some of the Year 3 children even said that they would be willing to spend their pocket money to buy them!
In Literacy, we have been writing our own myths. We watched snippets of the TV series Merlin to help us to create vivid and exciting images in our reader's minds as well as use show not tell. We then typed up our myths and created front covers, which i am sure you will agree are great, if not a little gruesome!
We had great fun celebrating pancake day on the last day of half term.
