First we chopped the onions and leeks and fried them off in the dutch oven.
Then we added a bit of flour to thicken and the stock.
Next we added all our chopped veg and added more water.
Finally it all went on the fire and it cooked away for about 40 minutes.
Some of the children knocked up some dough and prepared some mini flat breads. We realised these tasted amazing dipped into the stew!
Whilst the stew was cooking, the children chose some forest school skills to develop.
