Year 5 have worked really hard this week to create beautiful butterfly sculptures. These will be hanging from the trees on Monday for our Arts exhibition.
On ready, steady, write day we shared our 'day in the life of an animal' diaries with 1NM. We really enjoyed sharing our writing with them and hearing theirs as well.
Year 5 have begun arts week by sketching butterflies to tie in with our Rainforest theme this term. We have been working on giving and receiving feedback just like 'Austin'.
Today started off with lots of cleaning and tidying as it was our last day. Once that was done and we'd had our breakfast, it was time for our final activity before having lunch and going home. Across the year group we were climbing, canoeing, problem solving and taking on the high ropes course.
Grenville House has been amazing, even if a little soggy and we are really proud of what we have achieved!
Today the weather could not make its mind up between heavy rain and glorious sunshine, but we had loads of fun regardless! We were abseiling, kayaking, orienteering, climbing, high roping, problem solving and canoeing! A really busy day finished off with a Grenville's Got Talent, talent show.
It was all super good fun and we enjoyed some scrummy popcorn too!
Apologies for the delay in updating you all - we were so busy when we arrived and then got stuck into our afternoon activities.
The children have settled in well, enjoying various activities including: kayaking, canoeing, problem solving and climbing. We wandered down to the beach this evening to skim stones and build towers. Everyone is now tucked up in bed whilst the adults make 62 sandwiches for tomorrow!
